Halifax Vandals 1st XV will entertain Harrogate Pythons on Saturday, while the 2s will travel to Old Brods.

Halifax Vandals 1st XV make a long-awaited return to Warley on Saturday.

A mixture of walkovers (Wibsey and Otliensians) and postponement (Barnsley) has meant the 1st team last played at home on January 29.

And they will be hoping for a similar display, with Vandals having dented Bramley’s promotion hopes with a 17-14 win on that day.

Harrogate are another team pushing hard to reach Yorkshire Two next season so Vandals will need to be at their dogged best.

Nath Harris returns at hooker, allowing Danny Mitchell to switch to the flank, while Andrew Binns is fit to partner Isaac Pollard in a powerful-looking midfield.

The match will be sponsored by Dave King and Dave Mayes - with England v Ireland on in the clubhouse after.

The 2s have defied a lengthy unavailable list to make the short trip to Brods.

Josh Morrow, Kieran Baxter and Adam Price are among those who have made themselves available for the clash
